I am a very optimistic, caring, and fun-loving person. I have a great sense of humor and love a good laugh whether it be at myself or a funny joke or prank (I've pulled some great April Fool's Day pranks on my children), and I am looking for someone to spend time with that enjoys the same.
I am not afraid of a challenge and I have learned to overcome lots of obstacles in order to be successful in what I set out to accomplish. I have been very successful in my career path and have a great job that I actually look forward to going to each day. To further my advancement, I've also recently gone back to school to work on obtaining my degree. So, I stay busy with a full-time job, going to school, raising my 16 y/o son, and supporting my 19 y/o daughter who is in college in AR...but I always make time for having a good time.
I enjoy good a good cup of coffee with great conversation or simply snuggling on the couch watching TV or a movie. I love the cold better than the heat, and I love to be outside! I enjoy working in my yard...I have several fruit trees and can make a mean fresh peach cobbler...and I take pride in having some beautiful flower beds. I also enjoy taking a break and going for a weekend camping trip - you can't beat an evening under the stars by a nice, warm campfire. I also like to hunt and fish when I have the opportunity.
In addition, I have a little bit of a wild side to me - I love to ride motorcycles!! I used to own a Honda Shadow and then a Harley Custom Softail, but sold both of them to buy the ex a bigger Harley for both of us. So, I no longer own a bike and if you have an available back seat - I would love to take a ride with you. I truly miss the sense of freedom that riding provides.
I enjoy going out for dinner occasionally, but I'm not into the bar scene or partying. I like a glass of red wine (Sweet Red is my favorite), or a mixed drink, but I don't really like beer. However, I have found a new restaurant near my place that serves draft beer and I'm learning that some of the ales aren't too bad.
My children mean the world to me, and enjoy spending time with each of them. My son is a drummer in the band, and I absolutely love watching him perform. Right now, it's fairly slow because football season is over, and I am ready to find someone special to spend my time with when I'm not busy with their activities or studying for my classes.
I'm looking for someone that enjoys many of the same things and wants to see if a connection can be made that could turn into something more. I don't like drama and avoid it whenever possible, so I'm not into playing games...at least not the kind that hurt the heart. :)
